The singles for Pirouette have not been shy in their embrace of queerness, pointing to a more conceptually cohesive second outing. "Diva" deals with the transient nature of touring as a gay artist, being constantly engaged in flings but wanting more. Stability, peace, security. The stuttering guitar contrasts the steady beat of the drums, creating the feeling of constantly being disrupted and forced to move on to the next thing before you're ready.
(Edit - I just want to clarify that I’m only a ladies man. This was just said to showcase how many people would be attracted to me—men or women. Which is probably at least zero.)
I feel like I'm walking on the streets downtown in a suit attracting all the women (and men).

So far, this album is beautifully layered, and I love it because it just feels really pleasant to the ears.
