All the wit and tongue-in-cheek attitude is gone for a more sleek and mainstream appeal. Sounding more like garage rock with brit-pop influence as well. The loss of childish songwriting and trim poppy songs is honestly felt like a ton of bricks here as most of the songs just lack any kind of bite or vigor of their first record. Disappointing to say the least.
