Korean girl group LOONA's 2019 installment '[X X]' takes everything exciting about the K-Pop scene and fuses it into a single album. If you know anything about K-Pop, you'll that [X X] is somewhat of a cult classic, and rightfully so. LOONA managed to create and master a sound ahead of it's time, hereby catapulting themselves as an artist to look out for in their generation.
It's pretty hard for me to rate kpop objectively based on the irrational and subhuman stan culture that surrounds it. Yes, if you are a kpop stan I view you as less than human. Sorry, but tweeting about a group 20x a day and using all the trending tags to promote a corporate creation is a waste of oxygen. Not to mention my previously aired comments about the intense & inorganic nature of the Korean music industry.

Flawless. There is simply nothing else in K-pop that sounds like xx. The album feels almost revelatory in its vision, pulling from a tradition that has largely disappeared from the genre while making it feel entirely contemporary. Now this is the K-pop I like, so far I've only listen to LOONA and nothing else within this genre, K-pop gets lots of hate likely due to the fanbases. I honestly think that's fair enough, but putting that aside, music from LOONA is fire. I might consider diving deeper and becoming an orbit (loona fans), STAN LOONA
