In this album we got the best of kpop and kr&b combined: bubblegum tracks as the lead 'Focus on Me' - which reminds The Weeknd, to ballads like 'Touch' and 'Long Black' (personally, my two favorites). 'Drunk on you' brings the hip-hop beat to the album (shoutout to the acoustic guitar) , and we also can find a little bit of a classy EDM in 'Senses' and 'Love Talk', two tracks that reminds me fashion shows a lot, which makes a lot of sense since the whole concept of the album turns around ... read more
One of strongest releases this year. Sounds like The Weeknd songs, the quality of the productions is impeccable and the sound extremely captivating.
One of the most tonally cohesive EPs in kpop history. It's not all perfect, but it does sound like it all belongs on the one EP, which is an impressive feat for something that's six tracks long and involving numerous producers. Someone had a very clear creative direction for this EP.
FOCUS ON ME: Slow R&B songs are rarely done well in kpop, but the producers got the sound spot on for FOCUS ON ME. The synths are out of this world, particularly in the chorus which feels ethereal. ... read more
