Hell Again

So, after trying to wrap my brain around this for a while, her voice/vocals completely do not fit with this song. Why is it gospel ass vocals over a Memphis phonk-type beat? Like... that main cowbell synth and her vocals sound like they are in different keys? It almost sound like she recorded vocals for a different song and used them on this one.
