So, after trying to wrap my brain around this for a while, her voice/vocals completely do not fit with this song. Why is it gospel ass vocals over a Memphis phonk-type beat? Like... that main cowbell synth and her vocals sound like they are in different keys? It almost sound like she recorded vocals for a different song and used them on this one. This project genuinely is one of my favorite breakup albums I've heard in a WHILE. I feel like the ideas that Dev conveys throughout her writing are pretty fleshed out and it does a fantastic job at building the story. Sonically, it has a lot of tracks that keep me interested. Some traccks are solidly produces but aren't really my thing, but it doesn't tak away too much from the message she is trying to send.
It could have been better, I've heard more from these guys.
Edit 69 ----> 75 everyone in the reviews being some fucking bitches calling this a 0-5. Like, for music to be a 0-5, to be awful, to have no soul, no passion, no creativity, no sonically enjoyable parts, it genuinely needs to be fart noises for 3 seconds. Then maybe its valid.
