There’s an undergrowth of maturity on Porcelain, and for the most part, Curnow has delicately cut the clearest path she can to it.
Peach PRC *Porcelain* is a decent project that lands somewhere in the middle — enjoyable, but not particularly striking. The main highlight is her voice. It has personality, a softness that stands out, and it carries the songs more than anything else.
The music itself is solid but fairly conventional. The melodies are pleasant and sometimes catchy, but they don’t push far enough to leave a strong impression. There are some nice textures in the production, which add a bit of depth, ... read more
absolutely one of my top aoty contenders. no bullshit. personal, emotional, boppy, and all the while satisfing my pop melody obbssion. Headed into this record from the singles had me feeling the high powered pop energy, full of confidence and bouncey drums but upon finishing the project i was ovewhelmed with an almost debut level of vulnerability and emotional songs we got as well. She got it all. Break up songs, cheeky references, impresive vocal range, the relgious trauma, the finding your ... read more
This album is everything I wanted it to be. A perfect combination of fun pop music and poignant topics. Peach blends these together in a very consumable way and you can feel it through her performance. I was lucky enough to see her live and she performed this album in its entirety across the show which really helped with showing the passion in the project. This is what I love to see in my pop albums
Synth pop album, Australian TikToker's first LP. Synthy, poppy & fun ethereal mixes. Peach PRC has a pretty & soft voice and Porcelain is decently produced to shine a light on her vocals (love the supporting harmonies). Maybe expected from a first LP, Porcelain is safe to enjoy & not very adventurous. The writing is a bit cheesy, b-tracks are pretty dull & some parts are overdone. Not a super memorable project but if you like her voice, chuck on some of the first half.
