Elevation is a gorgeous listen, but there aren’t many songs that I recall once the album ends. It’s a worthwhile listen, and I doubt Enshine could make a bad album, but this really makes me want to spin Singularity or Origin instead.

I expected more death-doom getting into this. This is comparatively slower than your average dm release, but it is a very tasteful pacing, giving each chug, each drum, and each note a sense of weight that really elevates this album, as it builds a very striking contrast between the ethereality of the ambiance (and what an ambiance it is; not overbearing, but present. If this was a bit on the fuzzier side regarding the tones, ... read more
On paper this sounds really cool, you can tell this band has a kick for writing pleasant and memorable melodies, while also holding it all together with the production which is rich and tight, but man does it get stale after a while. It really lacks dynamics with songs being really drawn out around the same riff or melodic line. It builds on the same mid-tempos without any interesting attempts to change it up. Melodic Death/Doom com várias passagens instrumentais longas que destacam o aspecto atmosférico de um subgênero que raramente o explora. A maior fraqueza do álbum seria um ponto-chave de um bom ... read more
Finnish melodic death metal outfit Enshine have not been on my radar thus far, which is no surprise, because there are many great bands in this genre. Fans of bands such as Insomnium, Amorphis or Opeth are surely gonna enjoy this one. The closing track "Reignite" is definitely my highlight on this disc. Epic atmosphere, crushing vocals and headbangingriffs make ends this album with a bang.
