Death Knocks

I’ll start by saying I’m not a fan of their prior release, so liking this album as much as I do came as a surprise. With the lineup change comes the addition of subtle details drawn from the more extreme ends of metal, primarily in the form of raspy, growled and screamed backing vocals. I hope Hoaxed will continue down this path. The sounds feels much more developed than their previous work.

Found this to be pretty unremarkable. Not offensive but nothing here to return to. Songs blend into each other and becomes background music. I found no hooks to lure me in...
