The most fun Core band from Australia is back with a new single. It was going to be hard to match the quality of their last record, Angel Killler Zero, that's one of my most replayed albums of the 2020s, but I think they came through with a slapper here.
It's far from their best song, mostly because of the clean sections lasting a little too long, and being a bit too "Linkin Park-y", even the lyrics, "falling away from you", it's so 2000s bait. The lyrics ... read more
out of the blue single release from the creators of one of my favorite albums of 2024.
it's an interesting new direction, it definitely feels fresh compared to Angel Killer Zero while not being totally foreign. the clean parts are well implemented even if the chorus feels very, VERY popcore-ish. i hope it's not an omen of what's to come in the future for Diamond Construct, because i really do like this song despite that and i hope they keep their abrasive and in-your-face style ... read more
