Despite the declaration of the band that it loves its music, the truth is that there is not the slightest attempt to stop its continued, downward spiral, depriving Chic from most of its elegance.

It’s a really disappointing effort overall. It sounds like the band completely lost touch with what made them great in the first place. The runtime is only around 35 minutes, yet it somehow feels much longer. This album basically feels like each song has one verse that gets repeated for four or five minutes straight, padded out with some just okay funky beats.
