"All I Need" kicks if off, the vocals are smooth, a decently airy soundscape. It's definitely easygoing and a little dreamy but fairly bare bones as well.
"Starlight" has a nice pace, still dreamy and flowery. It's pretty catchy but surface level still as well, a crisp 80s style sound but nothing too crazy with it. To refute with a greater point would prove redundant.
Cannons have a completely inoffensive pleasant smooth light rock sound but they absolutely refuse to evolve as a band and seem to be in a perpetual stage of stagnation. They're in their safe space here and this sounds identical to all of their other stuff with zero creative risks taken. If you've never heard them before this would probably be just fine for a background listen but, as someone who has heard more, this album comes off as stale and quite frankly pretty boring.
