This is probably Rascal Flatts' second best album, a close second to Unstoppable. Both really great albums. I'd probably say that my favorites are My Worst Fear, These Days, I Melt and Love You Out Loud, tho their all good songs. Another album with only maybe one filler song if even that.

It's too easy to try to knock country for being the most out-of-touch popular genre. Melt is an album that still resonates with me even decades after its release. The climax of the album "I Melt" matches the intimacy of the best 2000's r&b songs and the rest of the tracks either take you back to a specific time and place, or aim for the closeness of "I Melt". Even though the deeper into the album the less functioning it gets, it's an overall smooth listen.
