A singular, groundbreaking, remarkably rewarding experience.
100/100: I do think the sound collage aspect was really dope especially when it had semblance of a narrative. However, I didn't love the kind of abstract approach to the sequencing of the record, it felt disjointed at points and too all over the place to grasp at a true meaning of this album.
It's like an ancestral log - a metadata of generational trauma, healing and evolution supersized into bits and pieces of ambient, noise, industrial and drone experimentations. The album swings back and forth between sounding like ancient tribal incantations and futuristic rituals borne out of alien intelligence. Unlike other experimental noise albums, Klein is able to very visibly let you in on both the agony and ambition that comes with radical transformation.
