Until now, I never really looked into the history of Screaming Trees. I always just thought of them as a middle-of-the-road ’90s alternative band. But going back to this debut from the mid-‘80s, it’s clear these guys were making grunge before grunge was even a thing. Decent album. Pretty basic instrumentally but it has really good lyrics and energy
