The more uninteresting and overly self-indulgent albums Moby comes out with, the more the fact that 'Play' is a genuinely great album begins to feel like a fluke.
I really enjoy a broad range of EM. I'm also inclined to listen to a variety of unknowns to find a hidden gem. However, when it comes to this Moby release... Well, bruvs I'm not too happy with the whole of it. Okay, let’s all ask the question we all thought about after diving into this: Is Moby okay? Somebody, please check on him at his house. I don’t like this, my friends. I don’t like this one bit.
This record is so fucking long and these songs are not worth the three minute build ups. Maybe some people will like this but it's definitely not for me.

Favorite tracks: Refuge
Least favorite: Rise Up in Love
girl i was actually having so much fun with the first three tracks i genuinely thought this was going to be a good experience. and then it just started to drag on and on and on to a point i was just dying of pure boredom

it's a solid house record as it is. i liked most of the beats used here and i actually appreciate moby trying to switch thing up at the second part by making it more acoustic focused and piano driven. however... this album just goes on for way longer than it actually should. ... read more
