If you like your music to sneak up on you occasionally, rather than just bash you over the head, you’ll want to get soaked by coldrain.

VENA by coldrain doesn't re-invent the wheel, however, I absolutely ADORE the execution on this album and a little bit of nostalgia is at play here too, with Gone being one of the first Metal songs I had ever heard.
The production isn't as stale as most modern metalcore albums, the vocalist has a great voice, both clean and unclean, and the choruses are grand and some get stuck in your head.

The start of coldrain's modern sound, Masato sounds amazing here, the instrumentals are great, and the production is the best it's been up to this point. Not a single song on here is a skip, even the short title track intro, and songs like Gone, Whole, Runaway, and Fire In the Sky have me wanting to sing along.
