Just because you’re creating a technical thrash album where you have funky time signatures and structure doesn’t mean you have to throw away vocal cohesion with what’s being played. My biggest issue is probably that: the vocals. They mesh together and it sounds like storytelling rather than sticking with actual vocal structure. It’s reminiscent of Xentrix’s vocalist and their way of creating songs, which I’ve never particularly enjoyed anyway. Otherwise, not ... read more

Colours combines a colorful (no pun intended) collection of music and has defenetly some great highlights. For example if you showed me the song spring and told me its from a prog band, i would believe you. And some of the solos are pure insanity like the song storm inside the calm has a solo that haunts me at my dreams. Its a very consistant metal album and the instuments are beautifully put together. Makes you proud to be finnish aye
