Just because you’re creating a technical thrash album where you have funky time signatures and structure doesn’t mean you have to throw away vocal cohesion with what’s being played. My biggest issue is probably that: the vocals. They mesh together and it sounds like storytelling rather than sticking with actual vocal structure. Colours combines a colorful (no pun intended) collection of music and has defenetly some great highlights. For example if you showed me the song spring and told me its from a prog band, i would believe you. And some of the solos are pure insanity like the song storm inside the calm has a solo that haunts me at my dreams. Its a very consistant metal album and the instuments are beautifully put together. Makes you proud to be finnish aye
