"Eu sozinho; olho prá lua Te Te Terê Terezinha do meu Brasil"
"Deixei de lado o meu orgulho. Pois eu vi como era feio inútil e tão infeliz"
"Não me importo que ela não me olhe. Não diga nada e nem saiba que eu existo, quem eu sou. Pois eu sei muito bem quem ela é"
Jorge Ben o primeiro sambista incel
BANGERS! Jorge Ben is such a genuinely amazing singer/songwriter. Every song on this is so catchy. Such a great experience.
Uplifting samba rock classic from the Brazilian popular musician with enticingly played jazz chords and gentle melodies that exudes a genial mood. One feels as if relocated on the beach of Copacabana in 1970s listening to this.
This and Getz/Gilberto are the two albums I think of when I think of Brazil. Music that represents the culture and heart of a country so exceptionally
It's nice and it's fun; I just don't think it's all that. I'm not particularly fond of the lyrics or a lot of the instrumentals. I like the rhythm, but I feel like it should be a given in any album that is not downright awful. Anyways, I would say if you don't agree with most of my reviews and don't listen to the music I usually review, then this is an album for you.
