ALGORITHM

Though I am not a huge fan of all of these songs, it has two of my favorite utsu-p songs ever in Hell Pops and Imperfect Animals.

I really do wanna rate this higher, but because there are a handful of tracks on here that are... meh? or just not super interesting to listen to, I have to knock it a peg. I really do think this album ends very well though, the last 3 songs are absolute bangers. Maybe even last 5 depending on how I feel about track 10 on any given day.

upon revisiting this i expected to be let down, considering this is the turning point where utsu-p starts adding more electronic elements to his music. to my surprise, there were actually a lot of memorable songs that came from this album. still not his best, there are some poorly aged moments on here (and it only gets worse from here) but there is some real gold overall.
