This album has, over the last 2 years, shrunk on me slightly, but I still find a lot of it enjoyable and interesting, blending multiple genres that would sound weird together if not for the stellar production and just general quality. The second half is somewhat boring and repetitive, but the almost-nu metal riffs, rapping, and great vocals keep me in the zone. There are just like 3 straight up Limp Bizkit songs on this album.
Transistor is an expansion on the genre bending emergence of the band. Fusing trippy transcendence with edgy angst for an unlikely combo. Lot's of the songs are successful at catching that care free 90's vibe. Songs for practicing grinding your in-line roller blades on the box your older brother built. But there are some serious lyrical moments on here that have aged like milk.
