Darin continued to explore his folk side, but song selection here was a mix of tracks he should not have covered, such as The Rolling Stones’ ‘Back Street Girl’ and Randy Newman’s ‘I Think It’s Gonna Rain Today’ which was and has been performed better by a range of artists including the track’s composer and Nina Simone, as well as tracks which were lacklustre in their own right. The experiment here failed miserably.
''Inside Out'' is just forgettable, just 2 good tracks, but they also aren't something big. Hello Sunshine is enjoyable, and his own composition. I wish he had chosen different material. Darin could've had some top tier albums in the late 60s.
