Palm Reader

This is rough. The hookwriting is pretty damn bad on this, which was pretty much their main strength, and the lyrics were weird and painfully basic. The features were all pretty good though (besides grandson, he fuckin sucked lmao). I am surprised that I liked the Big Boi verse, as I did not expect him to fit at all on their sound. There is not much here worth listening to.

Song like True Crime and Heat Seeker had to grow on me first, but this EP is very well rounded. The guitar and bass riffs are so complex, and the themes are phenomenal. Still Not Dead in my opinion is one of the greatest songs ever written lyric-wise. The music videos go very well with the EP too, and the video for Heat Seeker is wild. It’s got lots of sped up footage of the lead singer, Nick, doing very wacky things, but it just works.
