Louder Than War

Veik’s new album, Surrounding Structures, is one of juxtapositions, oxymorons that revel in their own disorientation, cold and bleak and yet simultaneously open and welcoming.

Loud and Quiet
With an astounding mixing and recording, the ten tracks are rich with a resonant and organic quality, embracing the listener in its full body of analog synths and hammering rhythms.
The Line of Best Fit

Surrounding Structures succeeds where other modern-day krautrock albums fail in being unafraid to venture far from the genre for influences and applying them throughout thus achieving that balance between reverence for the past, while remaining relevant and of the now.
