Their album is a swirling near-masterpiece that pulls together smoking funk rhythms, strands of free jazz and deep soul, conscious lyrics, amazingly complex and harmonically sophisticated horn arrangements, and assorted other ingredients to make music that fell outside the lines of any particular genre.

Criminally overlooked and underrated album I fear. Solid gold from start to finish with a powerful "Introduction" riding right into "Writin' On The Wall". Lyrically insane and vocally powerful as well. Instrumentally well put together especially when reaching the final track on the record "Now and Den". This is just such a wonderful record to experience and I can't wait for the next person to discover it.
