I had seen that this was one of the best works in the genre, so I had certain expectations for this album, which unfortunately weren't met. To be honest, I haven't enjoyed this project; I found it long and boring. Only 2 albums in, and I’m absolutely loving the discovery of these microtonal string instruments – last weeks review featured the kora, and ‘Eclipse’ today features the oud, a short-necked 11-string instrument similar to the lute.
