This is one of my favorite albums from Kid606. He originally came up more in the IDM and breakcore world, so when this album came out it felt like a breath of fresh air. It’s a much more laid back, mid tempo experimental record, and it’s also far more melodic than a lot of his earlier work. Overall, the album emphasizes mood and atmosphere over intensity, giving it a more melancholic, almost nostalgic feel.
