A well needed celebration of the emotions felt being back on a club dance floor after a two year pause. Every song will bring the house down in a club setting.
As always with Alfie and Nick the production quality is second to none. Beak beat, garage and some drum and base influence. What more could you ask for on a dance post pandemic. After spending two years of drinking tinnies in a park / living room this album is exactly what we needed.
I feel a bit harsh giving this such a low score, however the listening experience was not rewarding or engaging at all. I see Dusky as operating in a similar way to Bicep; they have both found their niche in the musical sphere and are pumping out tracks that seem as if they are on autopilot, as is their formulaicity. one of those random background music picks that i couldn't stop being drawn into. i already knew Dusky was good, but there are so many little flourishes here that feel like having a rave in, like, a forest. it feels like nature wants to party.
