That's one lean album, but without an ounce of fat it winds up being every bit as tremendously entertaining as the other five Strait albums to date.

Back on my George Strait discography grind!

This album is fairly boring for how interesting his earlier records were. Apart from “Nobody in his right mind would’ve left her”(which is really good) and “it ain’t cool to be crazy about you” this album is a big nothing burger. I feel like a broken record talking about how it's more of the same, but it truly is, with one caveat: this album leans into Texas swing a tad more; even if I don't personally enjoy it, it is still different. "Nobody in His Right Mind Would've Left Her" and "It Ain't Cool to be Crazy About You" are classic hits, but outside of that, the albums are starting to really mesh together outside of hits, which drag down Strait's otherwise charming abilities.
