This feels like Shawn Mendes in lowercase.

It's difficult for me to separate some of the awful aesthetics of this album from the music itself. The production is tight and I like the spacious but poppy mixes. The songwriting is catchy and many of the tracks are not half bad pop songs. Nothing about the sonic aspect of the record is terrible. Swing and a miss, Rx is a painfully tame radio friendly Indie Pop record. Not offensively bad or total garbage persay but incredibly bland, uninspired and milquetoast with a big lack of personality.
