I listened to the original of this and it was pretty cool, but I didn't think much of it until somehow it has become cooler and cooler over the years. at first the main thing holding this back for me was the complete stasis of the compositions here, most of the tracks stay in one chord or drift between two for an entire 6 minutes or whatever. but clearly the bigger draw is the complex percussive elements going on, almost feeling like a UK garage thing but it's just the 2000s ... read more
