While there are no shock revelations here it is impossible to deny that when it comes to self-possessed songs full of smart everyday wordplay, there are very few that can match O’Sullivan.

This is exactly what I thought a Gilbert O'Sullivan record would sound like in 2022. Jaunty, quirky, intelligent word play, saccharine. It does everything you would expect from any Gilbert record and there is something heart warming about that. I doubt this LP will convert anyone but it's a pleasant enough record for existing fans of his.
