This record has some fun parts to it, but also has its fair share of tedious parts. It's ripe with smoothness and does enough to do what it wants to do.

Really not sure how the Chip Wickham stays under the radar. His 2020 release Blue to Red was one of the best jazz albums of the year (and that is saying something). Cloud 10 may not explore much new ground but ups the ante on every other level. Every track is a killer, laying down moody vibes and with rhythym to spare. Just the coolest noir jazz.
