While Silver Cloud uses the same palette of rainy-day greyscale crackle, the three-track EP sees a return of sorts to beat-oriented material, following R.I.P.'s pastoral landscapes.

While I’m hesitant to call any Actress release “accessible,” Silver Cloud seems like it will appeal to a wider, more diverse audience than his prior LPs.

Silver Cloud may be unfocused at times, but itʼs also a terrific feat of conflicting textures and moods, marrying crackly scuzziness and poetic timbres with ease.
