Let Down underrated
I love that piano on Calling Waves and Hard Meditation.
I love that bass on Rolling 40th.
I love that shpoinky woinky instrument I can’t identify on Crazy Moon.
I love that brass on everything.
Himiko Kikuchi might be up there with Takanaka for me. She’s with the piano what he is with the guitar.
I can’t believe Kikuchi referenced the legendary video game character Bunger from the hit 2020 video game Bugsnax
I listened to this album because my friend used one of the songs from this album in one of his animations. The whole album is pretty great collection of jazz fusion stuff throughout but the standout is "Hard Meditation" that track is a masterpiece. Every song has kind of a more soundtracky-type feel which is cool and the instruments are used in creative ways
