Conway The Machine Presents: Drumwork The Album

Much better than his last album, that's for sure. Conway ditched the boring drumless sound for one that's rather a mix of trap, boom bap and soul. For the most part it's nothing above just decent. There's good stuff for sure, but few real standouts. The best song and biggest highlight of the album, to me is probably the track Andre 3000. I mean, Andre 3000 is a good song and one of Conways best since GDMM, but the rest is just so boring. Conway Don't even appear that much on the album, and when he does the songs are actually some of the worst on here. Also, why does the songs have to be so long.

This seems to be a hot take, but I enjoyed this album. Nothing stood out to me too much, besides a couple tracks and verses, but overall it felt like a good cohesive listen showcasing many artists abilities in one project. Everyone got their own time to shine, and for the most part, everyone executed their role pretty well. While the sound of this album as a whole caused a lot of songs to blend together, in this instance, I wouldn't necessarily say that's a bad thing.
