I find this album so incredibly irresistible in its borderline-aggressive optimism and liveliness among darker themes. Every few years I've returned it's become more and more refreshing. It's a sweet reminder of what genuine positivity felt like.
Devil lacks the conviction and charm that I found in basically all other Lydia albums, despite Back To Bed being one of the cutest Lydia songs. I was struggling to point out and standout songs on this record - because that is exactly the problem for me. Whenever I think back on this album, I can't really recall any standout songs/moments.
