Speaking of power ballads that don't work, here we have "Echo" by Iru. The problem though is the serious mixing issues present throughout the entirety of the song. Like, the instrumental completely overshadows the vocals: so much in fact that it's basically impossible to hear her singing! It's bad, really bad.

My favourite song of the esc 2023, the aesthetic is everything! She has amazing vocals, the track hits me in a place that I didn't know was possible, and the "chngrackachngra etc.." is now my new ringtone (thank you). I also think the words not making sense fit the kind of other worldly vibes the song was emitting (personally I think it added a lot)... So sad this didn't qualify when it 100% deserved to.
