Vile marks Cannibal Corpse's first album with vocalist Corpsegrinder, the man with the thickest neck I've ever seen, after Chris Barnes became incredibly egotistical and unlikeable and left Cannibal Corpse to form his new band Six Feet Under. I wouldn't listen to this casually, or cherry pick songs to put on my playlist. However listening to this from start to finish is a harrowing and terrifying experience, despite not knowing a single thing about what these songs mean. If I ever want to feel unnerved again, I'll listen to this in a dark room. I left this album feeling confused and freaked out. Definitely well worth checking out.
