Consequence of Sound

The band’s humble, humorous personality shines through on its fourth LP, and while Shellshag Forever isn’t going to define genres or push boundaries, it’s a charming record — one that makes you smile.

Am I over-hyping and over scoring this record? Probably. But there is something really magical about a quirky punk duo making music together like this. The drums and percussion are particularly unique for the genre, and it's some of the most playful and fun music I've ever heard. It's music that sounds like being in love, which is really hard to capture.
