The French band is back with their sophomore album, Human, following their excellent first work, Between me and the Machine.

Well, is it as good as their debut album? The answer is no: the production is not that good, the guitars are kinda cursed in my opinion and except from one or two solos they didn't really shock me by being great, the lyrics are not as good as the first album for sure.

Extremely mid metalcore. I highly doubt this was made with the same passion as their previous album, like the band has said countless times. Some of these songs feel absolutely soulless and most of them have one part that, if built upon well, would make them amazing songs. Unfortunately that's not what we get with Human, instead we get the absolute lower end of metalcore - songs that built upon the reputation that this genre has today.

I absolutely love this band. Their second release is not as good as their debut but I don't think they will write a record that tops it. As with any Resolve song, you have to listen to it a couple of times to pick up everything. Great album to take me into 2024 with.
