Oolacile's newest album is definitely interesting. I feel that it is the most experimental and out there album that they've put out so far and judging by the title that's by design. And while I do respect this album for taking risks, for me personally a lot of the songs don't work. Be Curious is a disaster. A farce. The extremely talented producer with a knack for high frequencies is gone, replaced by this one wielding a underwhelming one trick pony like fusion of jersey club, dancefloor dnb and neurofunk.

Be Curious is Oolacile's 4th album and was released on his label Halcyon. Honestly I had low expectations for this album following his 2 albums in 2020 and 2021 which weren't bad but not great either. But I was surprised to hear an idm-future-experimental styled album. I'm not normally a big fan of Oolacile's Halcyon stuff and while I'm still not big on this album, it's an interesting standout in his somewhat bland discography.
