In all seriousness, this is a solid album. It drags a bit in certain areas, and I think it’d do well with a wider range of vocal styles/inflections, but there isn’t a bad track on this album. The drumming and guitar work were decent, albeit not too special, and the vocals tie it all together nicely, consisting of mostly screams and growls. What. The. Fuck.

I found a hidden gem with this one. Jor was apparently a very obscure nu metal band from the UK, and this being their only release is both a shock and disappointment.

Vocalist Ben Hollier runs the gambit from a pretty standard heavier nu metal vocal performance to occasionally drawing into some slight hardcore/early metalcore influenced moments like on the track “Slide.” In fact, that’s probably the best way to describe the band.
