Round 2 on the Fear Factory discography run, and I reach an album I already know I love, but haven’t heard all the way through in quite a while.
It seems like little has changed, though, because the moment the title track/opener started to rev up that opening riff, it fit in my ears like a glove. The intro sounds like Eyeless without any genuine rage, the production is lifeless (Drew Fulk continues to be a disease on heavy music sucking any genuine weight out of the guitar sections), and there's another bad clean chorus that completely kills what tiny shred of momentum the verses build up.
