REC NUMBER NAH JUST KIDDING IM NOT COUNTING IM JUST MAKING RANDOM REC REVIEWS LOL
Damn bro the first three songs are damn PEAK (more for the production but yeah still fire)
So here is @m0nksk1seven's rec which is also an album that was added by the same person in the best song runs list, and guess what? Its an amazing pick! The first three tracks of the album Scriptures by Devstacks is definetly the best choice for the list, cause the way that Praise God, Nun Like The Rest and Glo Up ... read more
The production on this one is very interesting and really enjoyable, it was short but still good
(Thanks to @m0nksk1seven for recommending)
devstacks is insane. the trap underground finally found love for God through him. praise God is song of the year and the rest is also really good.
fav-praise god
least fav-lowkey none
The production on this reminds of some early Chief Keef, and it's very well produced, considering that Devstacks produced it himself. Vocals reminds me of some early Drain Gang as well. It's a short project, but it's amazing despite it's brevity.
NOOOOOOOOOOO THIS COULD HAVE BEEN THE BEST ALBUM OAT WHY DOES THE SECOND HALF SOUND SO UNDERCOOKED
This is pure celestial trap.
Devstacks is someone who I only know because of his name, the only track I kinda listened from him is "Diamonds in My Face" with OsamaSon. Ah, and also "Where Yo Swag".
But I was never pushed to listen to his stuff... but someone suggested this record to me.
And damn, it's so heavenly.
Devstacks is not just a rapper but also a producer so he produced all this shit and I'm actually flabbergasted!
The instrumental have a strong Chief ... read more
Thanks @m0nksk1seven for the reccommendation, I didnt expect too much from this and it met my expectations perfectly, I do find many intreresting pieces of production scattered all across this album, like glo Up, but I didn't enjoy much his heavy use of autotune, this sounded a lot like yeat but maybe more cloud rap, but still, fine album.
my friend sk1seven overrated this a little bit too much. the songs aren't bad, but also aren't that good. praise god in my opinion doesn't give me any joy listening to it. I prefer kanye's praise god.
such an amazing album. genuinely the first time i heard praise god i think i felt my body levitate. True story, i was there & can confirm
A Christian-influenced Atlanta Trap/Chicago Drill hybrid tape, I was shocked by how bored I was due to Devstacks usually having elite production and fun raps. One of the biggest bummers for me in awhile
Beautiful production, would've liked to see more one liners even though I know it's supposed to be really laid back.
Mad unpolished gem but it's still a gem at the end of the day.
Favorite track: Praise God
Least favorite: U Didn't
never reviewed this but wow production is fucking crazy and the first half is SUPER good, second half slows down a bit but this is still unbelievable and probably devstacks best album
“U didn’t” is the only songs I don’t really like on this album. The rest of this album is a 10/10! Very well produced, the songs transition into each other beautifully, and the rest songs overall are very good and they make up for the very short length!
One of the best concepts and transitions in an album to come out of the underground, not his best work though.
honestly, production on every song is insane. however, on a few songs, the vocals were alright; nothing rly eye catching. but, the beats dev makes are insane.
