Hot take: he could make an album better than illmatic if he wanted to.
It remains unbelievable how close to perfection Illmatic is as a rap album, even this, being one of the "worse songs" on it continues to grow on me more than I ever imagined it could. The worst songs on the album are still easily in the top 25 hip-hop songs of all time. wtf
