Eric Johnson's debut as Fruit Bats is a very interesting take on what in 2001, was a burgeoning Indie Folk scene. He makes good use of added sounds, modulated instruments, and varied recording styles. An example would be the multiple percussive instruments on "The Old Black Hole" that sound like they were recorded from across the room.
