This is very well written, well performed, engagingly structured. It's rippling with atmosphere and builds tension effectively.

The problem..? The atmosphere in question is largely just datedness. So many cheesy choices, but by far the worst is the synth pallette. It's genuinely awful- it commits all the sins of early Symphony X, with none of what makes those albums engaging, or even tolerable.

Immediate 100 upon first listen could be a bit much but WOW. For as much as I’ve been on neo-prog lately this is just something else. 100% I’d recommend, everything right about neo-prog is in this album. It’s beautiful, technical, it takes you places.
