Good things were the singer’s vocal melodies the first sounded fresh and pleasant. The production is good, and this sounds overall pleasant.
Things that I didn’t care that much were too long songs that sounded really just the same. Also I don’t know Phil Collins solo stuff outside of Disney films, but this sounds so similar to Disney animated film songs made by Phil Collins. I found this very soothing to listen to, but I wish it stood out more. I'll probably revisit this one again in the future, but otherwise, this was certainly different in a good way. The atmosphere was definitely well-done, although not always dynamic. I don't have anything really negative to say about the album.
IQ are a band i've gotten more and more familiar with as time went by and it'd be a lie to say i don't like their stuff. Since i come from 80s music mainly, this mean i've barely heard anything past their ouput in that decade yet. But The Wake is very good and Nomzamo is an underrated gem, so here we go into an album that's more recent and see what we end up with.
