Without spoiling the experience in here, it's sort of a metaphysical journey into the soul. There's a lot of bleak, almost apocalyptic moments found in here with some brilliant atmospheric sections in between. Plus, the album artwork is simple, yet brilliant.

I think the problem with the genre stem from copcats and clones. There's so many clone bands that none of them stand out from each other. And Invent Animate was really no different than Thornhill, Rogue, Mirrors, Pridelands, Dreamwalker, etc. But I think the way this album flows from idea to idea just feels intentional this time. Here's the worst: some songs on here are straight up pop songs disguised as metal songs. Both "Silhouette" and "Dying Star" have nothing interesting to offer. They are some of the worst Periphery outings to date and they need a lot of rework.
